Jessie May Champion

Years: 1924 – Dec. 14, 1937

Family Status: Child of Clifford and Ella Gresham Champion. When Jessie Mae Champion was born in 1924 in Penfield, Georgia, her father, Clifford, was 20, and her mother, Ella, was 22. She had two brothers, Clifford, Jr. and Richard, and one sister, Louise. Jessie May died as a teenager of a ruptured appendix on December 14, 1937, in Atlanta, Georgia, and was buried in her hometown.
