Lee McWaters

Years: Died Aug 25, 1895. May have been born 1825

Family Status: In the 1880 census there is a Lee McWhorter who is a 55 year old Black man married to Fanny with kids Edward (15), Hannah (12), R (8) and Lucy (1). A Lee McWhorter is listed as freedman who worked for W. Williams 1884-87. Lee McWhorters, Jr. is working for Boswell and Brothers. In 1871-75 he works for WH Brown and a Lee Jr. working for RL McWhorter. There is a Lee McWhorter married to Lizzie Peek in 1898 – might be a son. A Henry Daniel witnessed. In the 1880 census, there is a Leo McWhorter married to an Ann. He registered to vote 1867-69. There is a marriage license in Oct. 7/14, 1875 to Annie Hudson.
